2019 Lexus of Maroochydore Golf Invitational - Twin Waters Golf Club

The Lexus of Maroochydore Golf Invitational took place at Twin Waters Golf Club on what was the most perfect day for just about anything...even a game of golf! The guests embraced the day with a 100% attendance rate, that is extremely rare in this day and age.   

The course was in fantastic condition and good scores would be required to take out the win. The runners up and third placed teams both had nett 57.875 and a count back was required to separate them. Third place in the end was the team of Stephen Walker, Susan Walker, Margot McGhie & Terry Miller who who needed a birdie on their final hole to leapfrog a number of other teams. The runners up had a steady start to be even par through their first six holes, but finished strongly with five birdies on their remaining holes to shoot 67. Well done to Cameron Reid, Wayne Beck, Tony Arlidge & Steve Kavanagh. The winners were struggling early in their round when they were one over par through four holes, however a strong finish that included five birdies shot them up the leaderboard. In the end they won by just over a shot with nett 56.5 - congratulations to Gary Powis (19), Greg Clarke (23), Marguerite Byrnes (23) & Tim Lattey (27).

The charity event on course raised in excess of $2,300 for the Hear & Say Charity - thank you to all who contributed. Ashleigh was managing the 'smash factor' hole on the 1st - see below for a collection of shots (including our winners smash factor of 1.52!). 

Twelve guests also enjoyed the beginner golf lessons with Anthony Gilligan, the local golf professional. Congratulations to the following winners:

The opportunity for one Lexus owner to attend the Lexus Melbourne Cup was drawn at the end of the day. Congratulations to Rob Ingham who will have the opportunity to play Royal Melbourne Golf Club followed by a day at the races in the Lexus Design Pavilion for the running of the Lexus Melbourne Cup.
